Admit it, it is not easy to get kids to brush teeth, it can almost be as difficult as pulling teeth. IT may seem impossible when you are trying to put them to bed but it is not! There are strategies that make kids want to brush their teeth, while instilling that in them the rest of their life.
- Parents should continue to supervise their children’s toothbrushing until they are 12 years old
- Complimenting, rewarding or brushing with them encourage them to brush
- Not brushing has consequences – like cavities
“Consequences almost always include some form of disappointment that could have been prevented.”
