Restore Your Smile & Confidence with Comfortable, Natural-Looking Dentures

Dentures are removable dental appliances designed to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Whether you’re missing a few teeth or an entire arch, dentures not only help restore function and appearance, but they can also enhance your facial structure and boost self-confidence.

At Jester Village Dental in North Austin, we offer both complete and partial dentures, customized to fit comfortably and look natural.

Types of Dentures

a) Complete Dentures

Used when all teeth are missing in the upper or lower jaw.

    • Conventional Dentures: Made after teeth have been removed and gum tissues have healed (about 4–6 weeks).
    • Immediate Dentures: Created in advance and placed immediately after tooth extraction, so you’re never without teeth. Some adjustments are needed as your gums heal and shrink.

b) Partial Dentures

Recommended when some natural teeth remain.  Partial dentures fill in the gaps created by missing teeth and prevent surrounding teeth from shifting out of place.

Benefits of Dentures

    • Restore chewing function and support digestion
    • Improve speech clarity
    • Enhance your smile and facial structure
    • Cost-effective alternative to implants or bridges
    • Boost confidence and quality of life

What to Expect: The Denture Process

Getting dentures involves multiple steps across a few appointments, depending on your individual case:

    1. Consultation & Impressions
We’ll take accurate molds and measurements to create custom-fitted dentures.
    2. Try-In Appointments
You’ll try a wax version of your denture to fine-tune fit, shape, and color for a natural look.
    3. Final Fitting
Once your denture is crafted, your dentist will make any final adjustments and ensure a secure, comfortable fit.
    4. Follow-Up & Care Instructions
It’s normal to experience increased saliva flow, minor soreness, and slight changes in speech early on. These symptoms fade as your mouth adjusts.

Caring for Your Dentures

    • Clean your dentures daily with a soft brush and non-abrasive cleanser
    • Soak them overnight in a denture solution
    • Maintain routine dental check-ups to ensure proper fit and oral health
    • Avoid using hot water, which can warp the denture material
